It's been eight years of this.
Eight freezing winters and scorching summers without a roof over his head. Countless nights where he debated if eating around the mold of the discarded bread he'd find in grocery store dumpsters would be enough to keep him from getting sick. Too many close calls where he'd almost get caught swiping a granola bar from the gas station or a couple bucks from the pocket of some prick of an alpha.
The sole guarantee that Felix has in life is that he can only rely on himself.

Summary
"Princess, let's go now!" Felix shouted with a pout on his face and a glare directed toward Hyunjin.
Princess lifted her head but didn't make any move to get off his lap, she just continued to stare at Felix. Felix opened the door and stepped in a little more, stomping his foot "Princess, now."
When Felix noticed Princess still wasn't moving, he groaned and stomped over to the nightstand by Jisung's bed, which had been considered Felix's side, and pulled out a bag of treats. He stomped back to the door and shook the bag.
At the sound, Princess stood up on Hyunjin's lap, stretched, gave him a little kitten lick on his hand, then jumped down and walked over to Felix like she knew exactly what she had done.
Felix rolled his eyes and glared at Hyunjin "She does this because you spoiled her too much."

Hyunjin and Felix were attached at the hip growing up, but one day it all stopped when Hyunjin suddenly iced Felix out. Felix doesn't know why, and Hyunjin refuses to tell him, causing Felix to hate him. But when Felix's life is threatened, he's forced to be protected by the one person he wants to stay as far away from as possible.
