Those fears get crushed right when he starts unloading boxes from the moving truck. He's blinded by the bright smile of the boy who lives next dore, and the rest just falls in to place so easily
Maybe the move wasn't such a bad thing.

Summary
He stares at the plate again, the meal suspiciously hot for a supposedly sent-back meal. “It looks fresh..” Rody notes. “It is.” Vince says. “You haven’t even touched it..” He says. “I haven’t.” Vince says back. Rody briefly glances up at Vince (again). “You’re not going to charge me for this, are you?” He asks, he totally is, but it still doesn’t hurt to ask. “I’m not.” Vince answers.
And if Vince isn’t anything, he isn’t a liar, at least when it comes to his cooking. He thinks. Hopefully. There’s no way in hell that Rody can’t afford something like this, especially in this lifetime.

Summary
He attempted to sit up, attempting to push himself off the couch, but he was met with a very firm hand, shoving him back down on the couch. The wind was nearly knocked out of his lungs as the hand remained on his chest, forcing him to keep his torso glued to the couch.
“Down.” It was a command that came from the diaphragm. “Stay.”
Very quickly, Rody stilled. Still panting and wide-eyed, his eyes adjusted to the darkness and searched the figure’s features for anything familiar and recognizable. His front-door was open, the hallway light illuminating the back of the figure, casting a shadow across his front. And, as his eyes adjusted, he could only stare in shock when he realized that the figure holding him down was none other than Vince.
“Vince…?”

Rody gets sick. Vince thinks Rody died and goes to his apartment to nurse him back to health.
