Shouyou is fourteen years old when he’s told to pick a different path.
“Where do you want to go to high school?” His homeroom teacher asks. A portly man who’s starting to bald, his beta scent leeching into the air. Meant to calm, but it only rattles.
Shouyou’s never been good at anything pertaining to dynamics.
“Karasuno,” he replies, stars in his eyes and his head. “I want to graduate into the hero course!”
His homeroom teacher gives him a belligerent grin, like Shouyou is ten years younger. “Maybe you should have a back-up plan in mind, Hinata-kun. Omegas don’t make it very far in the hero world. For good reason.”

“Haruka-kun, you do know we’re not of age to enter into those establishments, right?”
“Huh??” Sakura’s eyes widen in confusion. “I thought kids like going there though?”
Suo’s eyebrow furrows. Clearly they are not on the same page, else Suo might have to give the cops a phone call. “Do you know other characteristics of the place? Like what sort of machines, perhaps?”
“Uhh… pretty sure they’re video game machines. And I heard you can win prizes and stuff. I don’t know what the place is called, though. Endo only described it to me.”
Suo lets out a breath. He’s going to throttle that man the next time he sees him. He’ll probably have to work more on his arm strength, since that man’s neck looks like it’ll take a bit more to properly snap. “Those are called arcades, Haruka-kun. And sure, I’d love to go to one with you,” Suo smiles widely.
As per Endo’s suggestion, Sakura invites Suo on a date to an arcade. Except a certain someone decides to invite himself as well.

Summary
Hinata is a little bit fidgety and is missing more tosses than usual. Part of Kageyama wants to sigh and ask the dumbass why he wanted to practice if he was just going to spend the whole time being obviously preoccupied with some other thought. Another part of him realized that this behavior often meant that the middle blocker was going to try and say something for the first time, and honestly, Kageyama wouldn't miss that for the world.
