Summary
Well, pistons keep on churnin'
And the wheels go 'round and 'round
And the steel rails lie cold
And hard on the mountains they go down
Without love
Where would you be right now?
(Without love)Dennis doesn't care that Robby lost his heart. It's true, so stop asking him about it.

Summary
The stranger from the stairwell stops beside a bank of linen cabinets and folds his arms loosely across his chest.
No, not a stairwell stranger, Dennis reminds himself. His attending.
He opens his mouth. “Dr. Robby—”
“You are a fourth-year medical student on rotation in my department,” Dr. Robby cuts off, “and what happened in the stairwell this morning does not change that.”
Dennis swallows.Dennis Whitaker didn't need fate to tell him he was meant to be a doctor. He just really wasn't expecting his new attending on his very last rotation of medical school to say the words inked around his bicep.

Summary
Every day since they met, Jack had seen Robby trace the mark with his thumb. It was on the inside of his wrist, the D.W. a perfect image of the J.A. on the other arm. He had insisted that it was a sign the mark was real, that there was a balance, a third soul to be found. Sometimes, when Jack saw Robby sinking into the black pit of depression, when he couldn’t pull him out, he found himself believing it was true.
or: Robby and Jack finally meet the man whose mark they bear, but Dennis Whitaker isn't aware that he bears theirs.

Summary
I'm willing to bet anyone looking up this pair in 2026 has been exposed to the same Insta/Twitter/etc fanart as I have. So now I have the brainworm.
Expect blood. And pining.
Charlie Swan and Carlisle Cullen don't know each other very well.
And then they start seeing each other more often. A quick appointment at the clinic, a consultancy for a case. And they both realize very quickly that they're not going to be able to stay away from each other for very long.{IN PROGRESS, INCOMPLETE]
