Summary
Alicent Hightower gave Viserys Targaryen five children. One is a lazy rake who can't see past his own lust. One is an ambitious boy, hungry for power and validation. One is a dreamer, far too soft for a world so rotten. One was sent to learn to do battle with his uncle.

The moment Alicent held Vaedys in her arms, she knew that the little girl would be her pride and joy. Not because she loved her more, gods know Helaena would always be loved best, but because Alicent could train Vaedys to be just like her. Make her strong, make her resilient, make her smart. Not a hair would be out of place. No one would question her honor or her virtue or her worth as a daughter of the Dragon.
As tensions between the two Targaryen factions continue to worsen, Alicent knows that she has no choice but to give her perfectly molded daughter to Rhaenyra's oldest son for his wife. She had denied him Helaena, but now she has no other choice. But breaking the betrothal between Vaedys and Aemond that had been in place since they were children in favor of marrying her to Jacaerys has unforeseen ramifications.
In an effort to end a war before it begins, she may very well start another.

“Rhae the Fair” - most beautiful creature in the seven kingdoms, smart and witty and cunning to boot. LOVE her character and the relationship dynamics with the others (her brothers, Aerion, Valarr, etc.) so yummy
- Rhae: so cute (she’s the most beautiful creature in the seven kingdoms), so funny, so witty, I adore her personality and character and wit
- Valarr: the boy-Prince turned king, soft and charming yet bound by duty; his ch. 12 with Rhae omllll (creaming)
- Aerion 🤤🤤🤤 such a good older brother, so very obsessed and devoted to his darling younger sister… I love her and Aerion’s dynamics
- I love her and Daeron too 😭 Daeron my love, he’s portrayed so perfectly in this fic: humorous and witty, but his moments with Rhae with the drunkenness and the dreams that get too much — god I love them, I love them all
- Lady Kierra of Tyrosh!!! I love her and Rhae’s relationship omg, so cute and sweet (the thing w Valarr tho? 👀 mm, we’ll see)
- and Daella 🥺🥺🥺 sweet Daella, she truly deserves the world. I hope her and Rhae’s relationship stays that loving sister/mother-daughterly bond. I don’t mind if it goes thru some conflict cuz that makes it interesting and stronger, but pls let them stay loving and in love
