Summary
Escaping your suffocating marketing career and manipulative boyfriend for a spontaneous bartending position in coastal Glass Beach wasn't in your five-year plan, but it might be exactly what you needed. There's something about Vander—owner of The Last Wave hostel, devoted single father, and former MMA fighter—with his measured movements and thoughtful silences that draws you in despite your best intentions.
As you help fight against resort developers threatening endangered turtle habitats, you find yourself increasingly captivated by this enigmatic man who remembers seemingly insignificant details about you and emerges from dawn swims like some maritime deity. But with your own unprocessed past and uncertain future hanging in the balance, acknowledging the growing connection between you means confronting the question you've been avoiding: what if you never went back to your old life at all? -

Summary
Looking up, your breath caught slightly. The man approaching the counter was tall—very tall—with broad shoulders that strained against a well-worn flannel shirt in deep green, the knees of his canvas work pants stained with earth. His brown hair fell just past his collar, half of it pulled back away from his face to reveal tributaries of scars that began at his temple and reappeared on his chin. But it was his eyes that made you momentarily forget where you were—hazel shot through with gold flecks, the color of the first leaves to usher in autumn.
He moved with a quiet confidence that seemed to settle the air around him, and you caught the faint scent of something outdoorsy—juniper and pine needles—as he approached.
"Good morning, Halsin," Corinne greeted him with obvious fondness, and his name rolled off her tongue like something familiar and comfortable. "Perfect timing—you get to be our new barista's first customer."

Summary
His inspection completed, he turned, and you caught your first clear glimpse of his face. Mismatched eyes—one a startlingly clear seafoam green, the other a burnt amber iris surrounded by an inky black sclera—dominated angular features that seemed carved rather than formed. A simple silver ring pierced his left ear, the substantial gauge creating a deliberate accent against his otherwise austere appearance. His expression revealed nothing, a mask of perfect neutrality that somehow conveyed more authority than any display of emotion could have.

Summary
Coming up with creative solutions to budget issues is nothing new at Iron & Glass Community Art Center, but bartering with your creepy neighbor for printer access is definitely pushing your limits. Enter Silco, all sharp angles and sharper retorts, whose tendency to throw money at problems nearly sparks a diplomatic incident. But first impressions have a way of unraveling, and maintaining professional distance becomes increasingly difficult when every interaction leaves you more intrigued by the man behind the mismatched gaze and wry reserve, even as your assumptions about him keep getting the better of you.

Summary
Anakin and Ahsoka learn the hard way that all their paths and choices lead to the same place. Escaping fate was always going to be impossible.
---
He thinks of Ahsoka’s distant eyes and her tightly crossed arms, dressed in a foreign blue. Maybe that’s what he needs: cold judgement and cutting words to banish what’s festering inside him. And yet—and yet he knows, deep down, that her mask slipped off all too easily. In his mind’s eye he sees how she had smiled tentatively in the end, had stepped forward just a fraction when they parted. He sees her, and is reminded of how even after everything, she had almost seemed like that fourteen-year-old girl again, spindly limbs and all, looking at him with eyes filled with admiration.
