“You’ll still stay beside me after I marry Lady Winter won't you?”
“I swore an oath to protect you” Mingi rasped, his eyes stinging as the heat of his own tears finally breached his defenses. “I swore it to your father, and I swore it to the gods. Even if that means standing at the back of the hall. Even if it means watching someone else stand where I wish I could.”꧁༺✦༻꧂

Summary
Yunho is convinced they’re lost. The sun is blinding and the wind is roaring and he’s seen that same goddamn boulder three times now, no matter what Jongho says. His canteen has been empty for miles, they’ve been walking for days, he’s lightheaded from hunger and exposure and he probably has a mosquito-borne illness or two into the bargain.
“Just leave me here to die,” he wheezes, crouching down in the center of the path. “I’ve had a good life. This is it for me. Save yourselves.”
“If you can still be dramatic, you’re not dying,” Hongjoong intones on his way by.
Yunho squints up the slope after him. “Just for that, you’re out of my will.”
“If Joongie’s out of the will, can I have the kitana?” Wooyoung demands excitedly.
“No!” several voices chorus at once, making Wooyoung pout and flounce away.

Summary
For Song Mingi, a compliance officer, life was a spreadsheet: every trip was work, on an optimized itinerary. But when he was forced-lovingly made - to take a holiday by his manager, onto a seven-day cruise to the Azores, his world began to unravel. It started with a simple mistake: he grabbed the wrong suitcase, a cream-colored bag belonging to a man with a devastatingly easy smile.
That man was Jeong Yunho, a retired idol who had vanished from the public eye six years ago, leaving behind nothing but a cryptic letter. He was also the idol Mingi had adored from afar, the idol whose photograph of an Azorean crater lake had sat on Mingi's desk for fifteen years, a silent beacon of the life he had almost chosen.
Softly tangled together bit by bit, on a ship headed for a place of personal pilgrimage for them both, the planner and the spontaneous were forced to collide. Mingi's spreadsheets were no match for Yunho's quiet chaos, and Yunho's mysterious grief found an unexpected anchor in Mingi's steady presence. It was a story about rebirth between two people learning to share the weight - to let someone carry your luggage, and in doing so, find the strength to carry theirs.

Summary
“What are you doing here?”
Then, as though it finally clicks, Yunho’s expression morphs into one of understanding. “Ah, I’m being encouraged to go to the gym more for the comeback!”
This time, it’s Mingi’s turn to blink. “Wait, really?”
Yunho nods innocently, his bangs bouncing across his forehead with the gesture. “Mhm.”
That night, Mingi thinks long and hard about it. By morning time, he still doesn’t have an explanation for why he’s so… unenthusiastic about this new change. It really should not have been anything. It shouldn’t have been anything at all.
