Summary
It had been ten months of realizing how poisonous Kaiser was, how that poison saturated every aspect of Ness’ life like a drug. Ten months of Ness desperately trying to survive alone after the lifeline that supplied him had turned out to be chains. Ten months of trying to forget, because that was the only option where Ness didn’t go to bed wanting him back.
And in walked Kaiser, like none of it mattered to him at all.
Or, after almost a year of no contact, Kaiser shows up at Ness' doorstep in the middle of the night.

“They look similar to you don’t you think?” He starts.
Ness glanced at him and then back to the turtles. “Is that so?” His eyebrows wrinkled as he looks to the animal in front of them.
“Yes, especially the mouth. You share the same smile as them.”
“Ah. Now that you mentioned it.” Ness had a small blush when his mouth rose to mirror the turtles. “It does look similar, huh.”
Kaiser felt confident when he said the next words. “Looks better on you though.”
He didn’t know it was possible, but Ness smiles even wider. “I see. I’m glad you liked it. My win against the turtles then.”
