“What am I going to do?” She asks, more to herself than to Eddie, but Eddie looks down at her, expression serious.
“I don’t know,” he says thickly, eyes searching her face, “but first things first: you’re not going to be alone tonight.”

In which Vecna exists, but he's only interested in getting Chrissy for the sake of his scheme to leave the Upside Down. And she survives the encounter in Eddie's trailer, leaving the two of them to go on a mission to a. find out what the hell is wrong with her, and b. get help from the whole Party to vanquish her curse once and for all, including driving to California to get help from Eleven (And maybe also c. learn that sometimes the best thing you could ever ask for is sitting opposite you in a big stoner van as you drive through the Chihuahuan Desert).

Moving away for a year for work, Ayda leaves Fig with an ultimatum: for Fig to learn be herself in their relationship – to stop pushing her childhood trauma away where she thinks nobody can find it. Ayda loves Fig, but if nothing changes, she sees herself being actually, devastatingly finished with, well, everything.
Fig, terrified and broken hearted, takes this as an opportunity to ruin everything good her life. And like every year since they were fourteen, a secretly smitten Gorgug is left to pick up the pieces.
