Abstract:
Eridians, from Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary, likely wear clothes to block or muffle the sound of their internal organs as well as for comfort, protection, and self-expression. Eridian textiles are likely made by hand and composed of animal products. Eridian clothing would have no front or back, and may be made in various styles and levels of complexity. Eridian clothing hypothetically adapted to fit protagonist Ryland Grace would probably include mostly loose or draped garments, either made of fine materials or worn over softer clothes.

Summary
The arrival at Erid is a momentous occasion. Rocky is excited and thrilled. Ryland is overwhelmed. But the reunion is happy, beautiful, amazing.
Or that's what it should have been. Except Rocky gets hurt, Ryland is left to try and communicate with an alien planet, and everyone is scrambling to figure out how to do this. To Grace, this is incredible but also bittersweet - he got Rocky home safely with the taumoeba, now he just gets... to starve. To Erid, this is insane - how did Rocky show up in an alien spaceship with a child???

Ryland Grace is stuck trying to speak Eridian, immediately makes himself sound like a child, and Rocky's world and family scramble to help this strange pebble. Misunderstandings galore, alongside hurt/comfort and angst and fluff.

Summary
After four years of space travel, Grace and Rocky are finally approaching Erid. Grace has been working hard to learn Eridian, but two days out, disaster strikes - his keyboard is broken and Rocky is hurt.
Luckily, Grace can speak some very basic Eridian with his single set of vocal cords. Unfortunately, he sounds like a newly hatched baby Eridian when he does.

Summary
After Rocky and Grace land on Erid, Rocky is finally able to reunite with Adrian (though he has a LOT of anxiety surrounding it). He leaves the science team to tend to Grace in his weakened state and unbeknownst to Rocky, they're not as accommodating as promised.
I read the book so there's some cannon from there, but the chase scene in the movie is very compelling. I also really like how the bio-dome is set up in the movie too- so there's a little bit of both! Also I like to jump around POVs, and I mark the changes with lines like this: ------. Hope you enjoy :)
