Having a guy buy him drinks and crack jokes with him was great, even if it was probably out of pity. Peter likes Wade’s sense of humor, his directness, his calm about everything. It was nice to hang out with someone who takes things in stride.

Literally: AbsentIn the aftermath of a terrible, no good, very bad day Izuku’s mother knows things can’t continue the way they are. Izuku needs to get away from a system indifferent to his struggles and from the presence of UA, physically and tortuously close but crushingly unobtainable. He needs a chance to recover from this latest, devastating blow or Inko fears she’ll lose him completely.
In desperation, she reaches out to the only family she really has left. Her mother had a sister who moved to China and married a man named Cheng. Their daughter, Inko’s cousin, moved from China to France years ago and married a baker there. They themselves had a daughter who was Izuku’s age. Hopefully that would be far enough.
Sabine’s daughter was Quirkless, like Izuku.
… that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have superpowers though.
