Summary
Mortals tend to say that your past always catches up to you. Morax, however, didn't expect his past to come back begging at his feet for his help, and Childe surely didn't expect his past to become his only way to save his brother.
They now both have a choice to make.
Revenge or Forgiveness.
Betrayal or Love.
“You betrayed me, of all people…”
“You lied to me!”
“I had to… again…”
“If I knew it was you…”
“You cannot change what you have done now.”
“I’m sorry, okay? Please, look at me…”
“The day my eyes lock on you again will be the day they bear Liyue’s rage.”
And history repeats itself.
Or: Childe betrayed Zhongli and thought he would never see him again, but now he needs his help and Zhongli's condition is that Childe has to be his. Childe accepts, but he doesn't know yet what awaits him in the Emperor's palace.
