Summary
He had always loved time travel movies and books growing up, and he had never stopped when he became an adult. He read about the numerous experiments leading towards a mastery of temporal physics, but he eventually came to realise many of them just were not going to work.
When a small number of ships appear in orbit above Earth, during the Earth-Minbari War, nobody could imagine that these ships will change the balance of power forever, and transform humanity for good.

Summary
Humanity's war with the Centauri is ongoing, Earth is still enslaved, and the underspace is still being explored. There are plans to launch armies of drones and robots against the Centauri and liberate Earth, but there's word the Centauri plan to exterminate humanity, frustated by the resistance.
Desperate to locate Centauri Prime, the human resistance desperately try to search for it. To help, they plan to explore the Underspace corridor which seems linked to all the others, but when a ship discovers an important Centauri world, they make a new discovery.

Extremely intelligent as she was, and very capable of recognizing beauty, imagery and metaphor, she did not see decisions of 'crossroads' as they were at the time. She had known her route exactly, and therefore not bothered to see the other paths, as they were.
