Kris has seen it. They KNOW they’ve seen it.
A wide, toothy grin filled with irregular teeth that are too large and bright to be normal. A shifting body merged with the shadows it conceals itself in. And it’s most defining feature, two eyes fixed hungrily on them. One, a radiant, shining gold. The other, a pink that is anything but soft.
A feeling throbs at their body, flaring and waning in rhythm with their heart. Sweat beads on their blue skin, grip tightening on their blade until their knuckles pale. They’ve felt this feeling before. They know they have.
Something shifts at their side. They have only gotten glimpses of it, but they’ve seen it. They KNOW they’ve seen it.
They see it again, a fading grin flanked by those damn eyes.
And then another. And another. And another.
A twisting, warbling, endless cackle rings out, followed by responses from all around them.Or: My interpretation on an encounter with DEVICE_FRIEND

They think about doing cruel things to Noelle.
They don't want to be thinking about this. They don't. They swear that they don't. They try their hardest to not think about these Weird awful things. They bite their lip so hard that they taste blood. Metallic and salty. They can still hear Susie and Noelle talking. They need to think about something else. Anything else."

Kris is getting worse. They don't know how to ask for help, and they feel like they are watching their only real friendship slip away from them. They are not dealing with it well.
