Summary
Will Byers has never really lived. He's in his second year of college and watches life pass by from the outside - until one day at the library he starts exchanging messages with a mysterious person who uses the same desk at different times. As Will slowly reveals the story of a brave Knight and the Wizard he loves to this stranger, he finds himself falling quickly for Mike Wheeler, a mysterious and enigmatic boy from his English class that he's had a crush on for the last 5 weeks.
As Will finally starts embracing life and love for the first time - could the story unfolding between him and the mystery deskmate be the key to his happily ever after?

Will and Mike have crushes on each other in college. Mike makes it his mission to help Will learn how to live a little. Will doesn't quite realize that Mike is courting him. They help each other without knowing it, via messages on a library desk.

“Obviously, it’d be way better to tell everyone individually and ask them to keep it a secret so we can see how long it takes for them to realize that they all know.”
Mike blinks, silent for a moment. Then he’s cupping Will’s cheeks. “Oh my god, I love you so much.”

It always ends in feelings of disgust, or guilt, there's sometimes flashbacks, but no matter what happens it always ends awfully. Then somewhere, on this bumpy road to recovery, Ash does not have these horrible flashbacks anymore.
