Summary
Unlike practically everyone else, Hermione Granger has very much moved on from the war. Back at Hogwarts, she recommits to the future she once planned for herself: classes, exams, and a carefully plotted path toward the Ministry.
But the world she’s returning to isn’t the one she left behind, as the Ministry begins to redraw the boundaries of who belongs in the magical world in the form of policy and regulation instead of battles and Dark Marks. Surrounded by cynicism and indifference, Hermione refuses to yield to it, holding fast to the belief that change and progress are still possible from within.
It would be easier if not for Draco Malfoy: a brilliant, infuriating potioneer assigned as her tutor, who seems intent on dismantling both her technique and her convictions.
