"Maybe he’s a nihilist,” suggested MJ. “Maybe he wants to see the world burn.” She looked a little too enthusiastic at the idea.

“Um… okay,” said Ned. “Thanks for the tip. Now we know to stay out of his way.”

The Percy guy had reached the end of the lunch line and was looking around, possibly wondering where to sit. MJ turned and waved at him. “Hey, Jackson! Come sit over here!”

“Or…we could do that,” sighed Ned.

What if Percy went to Midtown High?

    Summary

Balancing the tightrope that was mortality and divinity, Percy Jackson could barely just cope with a life that didn’t seem his anymore. Stuck on his promises to his love in Tartarus, Percy keeps that part of him shut. But repression was never a good idea, and an unexpected quest from Triton of all gods culminates in a failed ascension and a deeper understanding of his powers than Percy had ever dared.

Or, Triton, a godly quest and an ascension that Percy unknowingly keeps on refusing, makes the recipe to an almost perfect match for a Greek tragedy. Almost.

Sam is trying to figure out how many centuries old this god is and Percy is desperately trying not to get caught drinking underage at a bar. Miscommunications abound.

“What year were you born?” asked Sam.

Percy blinked. “Umm.” God damn dyscalculia. “21 years ago?”

    Sam raised an eyebrow.

Look, Jason didn’t know why he was doing this. This, being using the Batcomputer to search for any blood relatives he may have. Because the last time he had tried to find a blood relative had turned out so well. But apparently his biological mother was alive still. And she seemed like a decent person.

    Third time’s the charm, right?

“Nice to see you again, agent Jackson,”
