"A sense of dread shivers down his spine and settles in his gut. This is supposed to be a dream right…? The situation screams dream but with everything that’s happened it doesn’t feel like a dream. He moves his hand to pinch his arm, wincing at the pain. Shit. What’s going on? He looks around as he walks to the bottom of the steps, pausing at the bottom.
If this really isn’t a dream then… He just put a huge target on his back. She killed Rantaro for less. He’s now a target. He bites his lip nervously, checking over his shoulder up at the second floor to check if she’s watching him. No sight of the deep cobalt blue.
What happened? Everything should have been fine, right? Why is he back here? If this isn’t a dream then somehow, somehow, he ended up going back to the start of the killing game. But why…? There has to be a reason why he’s here. Do Maki and Himiko remember?
With a strong huff, he grabs his hat and takes it off, holding it in his hands before tossing it somewhere off behind the stairs and out of sight. If they do remember, it doesn’t matter. Why he’s here doesn’t matter. What matters is getting everyone out of the killing game. Alive. By any means necessary."
