“I got..” Hyperlaser pats the delivery box sitting on his lap, “this from Slingshot, who, apparently, was paid to make this. He didn’t say from who, though- which is bothering me more than I’d like to admit.”
“I see… do you think anyone from the.. production staff could’ve been behind this?” Katana hums, hands trembling faintly in his lap.
That’s… unlike him. That’s not something he does when he’s calm. Or he’s hiding something. Is he hiding something?
Hyperlaser shakes his head. “Absolutely not, I haven’t told anyone about this. My spawnday, I mean. I doubt no one here would’ve heard it in passing, maybe you or Vinestaff, but it wouldn’t make sense for either of you to go so far to hide it.”
Katana chokes on his saliva.
OR.
Katana asks Slingshot to make some cupcakes for Hyperlaser's upcoming spawnday. The request is treated like a poorly concealed secret, people start asking for Hyper's secret admirer, and now there's no turning back from the bubbling feelings they've both been shelving for swords-knows how long.

Summary
Dark, was the first and only word that came to Ryan’s mind when he opened his eyes. He was curled up on what felt like a wooden floor, tucked away in the corner of a small room. His hand was curled tight around a small palm-shaped card, black in colour and flimsy, like nothing more than a piece of cardboard.
Slowly, he sat up, grabbing his hat from where it lay next to him. He set the hat atop his head haphazardly, promising to fix it later. Uncurling his fist, he pinched the corner of the card with his index finger and thumb, bringing it up to his eyes.
Twenty people are locked in a club. Or are they? Maybe it's just a dream?
Whatever it is, it seems awfully real, and Ryan doesn't know what it is anymore.
In short, a Ryan-centric fic because I love him.
