Summary
“So let me get this straight,” Arthur said, folding his fingers together as the man in front him awkwardly shifted. “You are under the impression if you win the favor of my servant that you will then win my favor?” he asked and the nobleman shifted again.
“Well, sire,” he said “That is the common consensus among… the chatter.”
“The chatter,” Arthur repeated and his mind flashed to all the kindness Merlin had received from other nobles. Dear God.
Or

Summary
Merlin can't always use magic to protect Arthur and Camelot, so throughout Merlin's decade spent by Arthur's side, the knights of Camelot teach Merlin a thing or two about holding his own.
Or, 5 times a background knight teaches Merlin a different fighting skill, and the 1 time Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table find out (in the coolest way possible, of course).

When Hunith sent Merlin to Camelot, it was less about people in Ealdor growing suspicious, and more about people from outside of Ealdor trying to find Merlin... what happens when a diplomatic mission reunites Merlin from a figure from his past?
