Summary
Months after the battle with Argosax, Dante found himself digging deeper and deeper down into Hell, his humanity crumbling under the strain of his environment. But something kept pulling him onward, he could not leave quite yet.... Was it because there was nothing left to return to? Or was there something still waiting for him down below...
(AKA, What if Dante stumbled across Vergil during his Post-DMC2 dive into hell.)

Summary
Vergil was always bothered by his senses, but as soon as Dante entered the room, the ache of the outside world overwhelming him would fade and he would forget what was bothering him as he was distracted by his twin. So, yes, Vergil’s senses had always been different, and sometimes they would be intense and almost overwhelming, but they would never be unmanageable. Dante would always appear when Vergil was in need, and the senses never got the best of Vergil. He was always okay in the end.
And then one day he wasn’t.
