for an Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind fic, with Sand just erasing the happy memories with Ray and Boe! Because Sand is not Mew, he is masochistic and petty, and very resentful! He wants to remember why he gave up on them, and he's not Mew who's going to run away or erase the past! There was a badass fic that was released in the universe of this film, and I think Sand deserves that too, but in a more cruel way, since Sand can live painfully with her choices! Possible TopSand just because saccharism, irony and dark humor suit these two!

He can see the consequences of his lack of hesitation in the expression on his mother’s face. She looks like someone who has just found out a hard truth but is pretending to handle it well.
“Are you together…?” she asks, her voice cracking towards the end.
A rush of blood travels its way to Shin’s face. He feels dizzy and mortified at the same time. “What? No.”
