The anvil dropped, and Techno reached for his totem of undying. This was going to hurt like a bitch.
Phil screamed something, and instantly a crushing force struck Technoblade's skull. It rattled him to the core, doused his vision in red, and then all he knew was black.
He gasped awake moments later to the sound of his communicator pinging softly at his bedside table, and when Technoblade opened his eyes, New L'manburg was nowhere in sight.

Philza nodded hesitantly, his worry slowly easing out from his wing's posture. He could never fully keep his emotions out of their movements. "Alright. Just tell me if it gets worse okay? Can't have you gettin' sick on my watch."
Techno nodded and watched as Philza sighed, gIancing at Technoblade from behind blonde bangs before continuing softly. "I know how you are Techno. You'd keep somethin' serious from us if ya thought we didn't need to know about it. Just- stay safe, okay man?"
With his throat caught on the petals of his lies, there was little else Techno could do but gently squeeze Phil's shoulder in a silent reassurance as the bloodied petals burned holes in his pockets.
| Love doesn't always come in one form, and the hanahaki disease doesn't distinguish between familial or romantic love. In Technoblade's case, his love for his family may get him killed. |

Yasashii pressed their hand against their side, gritting their teeth together in an effort to not voice their pain. "Wolfsboon sensei never said anything about a second exercise." They paused, scanning the building filled cityscape worriedly. Taiyuu was a heroics school, and everyone knew heroics teachers liked to pull the rug from under their students' feet, but Yasashii knew the tone of Buckskin's voice like the back of their hand. Something was wrong.

Summary
Whatever happened here was bad. Irrevocably, inexplicably, inarticulably bad in a way that the most basal parts of his being wants nothing more than to escape from. But Grace can't turn away.
After encountering what appears to be a last hoo-ra emergency mission attempt from Earth caught up in the Hail Mary's wake, Grace and Rocky discover a single, severely injured human being quite literally encased in what Grace can only describe as a crime scene. A horror movie. And when he wakes up? He's mad. Really mad. Talking to the walls mad. Now they have to figure out just where he came from and why. Things are further complicated when all the newcomer (Simon, they learn) can talk about is missing planets, haunted oceans, and non-existent space stations. That and the really weird data they've been picking up on.
Maybe part of solving that is, much to Rocky's enthusiasm; both Grace and Simon slowly realizing how lonely they are.Series

It's just too bad the Eridians think they're talking to a pebble.
