Tim has two jobs that would send his dad into a coma if he ever found out--that is, if that wasn't already the case. The first is a gas station employee. The second, a mercenary. Contract Killer. Bounty Hunter. Whatever you call it, Tim doesn’t care. He only has one thing on his mind; his next target, the Red Hood.
So when he sees that damned leather jacket roaming the store for the third time that week, he can’t help the shark-like grin spreading over his face.
“Welcome to 7-Eleven, how may I help you?”

OR: They’re calling him Red Hood’s protector. They’ve got the wrong agenda—Tim isn’t the protector of anybody, he just wants the cash. The $50k for Hood's head has turned Gotham into a shark tank, which means Tim has to be the first to get there. That “protecting” he’s doing? That’s just eliminating competition. (...Right?)

Jason would like to direct the ancient immortal assassin to the universal law of playground ownership:

Now all the Bats have to do is keep one tiny, heartbreakingly polite little boy happy, survive Jason’s unique brand of accidental parenting, and keep Tim as far away from Ra’s al Ghul’s grabby hands as possible.
And who knows, maybe one tiny too-smart toddler is exactly what they need to remember how to be a family again.

Summary
Tim Drake knew better than to get involved with the Waynes.
The family was notorious across the crime world, known for their ruthlessness and their ever-tightening controls and their absolute domination in Gotham and Bludhaven. Anyone stupid enough to try and cross them never made the same mistake twice- namely because the Waynes never let them get away with it. They were a dominant, unstoppable force, and anyone who had their wits about them knew to stay far away.
It was too bad, then, that Tim's boss had no wits about him.
After a chance encounter gets him the attention of the Wayne family, his boss hands him a new mission- to infiltrate the family's crime syndicate and give him secrets to regain some of the control he used to have in Gotham. In Tim's opinion, it was perhaps the stupidest job his boss could have ever given him. But he would have to do it, because he had no other choice.
However, things get complicated as Tim finds himself getting attached, despite knowing that if they were to ever find his secret, they would do worse than kill him. But is everything as it seems?

Summary
Tim carved himself a place with the Wayne's. He bled for a chance to don a domino mask. He endured condescension, attempts on his life that were met with no reprimand, he even endured Robin - the one thing he had left - being taken and given to Damian. He went on a trip around the goddamn world just to find Bruce after he was lost in the timestream. He cried, fought, bled, underwent medical malpractice, and still found his adopted father. All to be met with no apologies for his eldest brother's threats of Arkahm, and a request for his emancipation so Bruce wouldn't have to run Wayne Enterprises.
Tim Drake-Wayne dropped the hypenation.
He was never a Wayne, and he finally realized it.
