Which means the rest of them? Are kind of the worst too. They’re a ramshackle, slap dashed, sorry excuse for a pack that’s about a half second away from getting one of them killed. And this is a problem, because Stiles would really like to survive high school. Thanks.
Still, nobody deserves what Derek has gone through. Nobody.

My, that's quality work! Long development making sense and all. Loved the (author's) usual -here, growing- friendship between Stiles & Jackson. Derek was very well characterised, and we're so glad for Stiles to support him that much! (No much romantic agenda at first which was appreciated). Stiles was a great character from start to finish, and mixing it with pack dynamics at its core was awesome. Always love this subject. Cassandra's "epic" monologue/villain climax was annoying but thankfully cut short (went a bit quick over it) and well dealt with by Stiles and the pack. Liked how Peter is "coming around", and I really liked the relationship between Stiles and Derek the entire time. & the Sheriff, quite the badass! (Oh and Scott bashing with his attitude here and Stiles' complicated feelings with it was well done too!)

Summary
Stiles gets a call for help from his old babysitter, Laura Hale, after a slew of magical sabotage to the restaurant/gastropub she runs with her brother Derek. Mysterious magical and supernatural shenanigans are Stiles' bread and butter, so who is he to deny what's basically family?
Even if it does mean facing his age-old, hopeless crush on Derek again, and the fact that Derek hates him.

Loved the family vibe! and the Hales, how we get to know the OCs (cute children with personalities and sibling dynamics!), and their close relationship with Stiles (all the scenting was lovely!). The angst of Stiles' pining was really good (well balanced writing between misunderstanding for the character and gessing the truth for us readers without being out of the blue). I liked the investigation plot enough, but I'm not convinced by the resolution between Stiles/Derek; a bit too over the top in my opinion (making Derek's attitude in-between ridiculous and too stretched-out, like, a decade of making Stiles feel that bad-rejected? when everyone around them can tell the truth? Too long for my taste). But still appreciated very much the story and the werewolves dynamics and their general closeness! (and obvious care for Stiles as a member of the family). Also, loved the whole competent sheriff+team, and a badass Stiles that is still very much a klutz!

If someone asked Stiles to write a parenting book, Stiles would say the best and most important rule is to love your kid. Just love the hell out of them, and make sure they know it.
The second most important rule would be don’t turn your back on a curious three year old with supernatural speed.
Stiles is currently failing at the second rule. Badly.

Woman that was good! Really good, funny and long (appreciated) development. I really like a good Stilinski & Jackson friendship! Derek is soooo cool and competent. Awesome Sheriff. Wish we'd see more the pack dynamics, for ex. Derek's observing Eli's behaviour (wolf vs personality) like after the ritual since we don't go back to that. I also liked this Stiles very much, as a parent and in his profesionnal activities.
