Michelle has a theory: Peter Parker is Spider-Man.
It’s a little far-fetched, and some of her evidence is circumstantial, but it’s genuinely the only thing that explains why Peter’s been acting so goddamn strange for the past year and a half. Most people would chalk it up to Peter’s home life, which she gets. She does. But the thing is that Peter started acting weird before his uncle got shot.

And then Peter’s alone in his own motel room, sitting on the edge of his bed staring blankly at a TV playing Friends reruns like white noise, trying to parse through his emotions like translating something for Spanish homework. Like he’s picking up on some things, but will probably have to put some effort, consult a textbook and maybe Google translate, to figure out what exactly is going on.
He thinks he’s okay. He feels a little twitchy, a little wrung out and smudged over, but there’s also some dangerous kind of calm and triumph creeping up on him.

The clothes clenched in his fists are remnants of the Peter before. He breathes in the crap air of the warlock's basement, stale and humid at the same time, and shoves his clothes in the threadbare backpack he'd grabbed when he ran.
It is funny how life goes in circles. He is going to run again.
It is for the best, he reasons, as he listens out for MJ and Ned's timid footsteps. His friends gave up everything to go into hiding with him and as the days slug on its become more and more apparent that this isn't ending soon. If ever.
The lights flip on with a rattling whine. The Peter Tingle letting him down in the worst way. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"

“Okay, kid. Are you safe?”
Peter tried to take stock of his own body. His right arm was pinned under him, his left arm was pinned under a rock. Or a lot of it. He could wiggle his right leg a little, and his left leg… oh. Right. The pain.
A gasp escaped him. “I’m… not great.” He confessed.
He felt something strange on his right arm. It was wet and moist. He could hear Tony yelling over the comms, barking out orders and pleas but Peter was distracted. What was that sensation on his arm?
“Oh, blood!” He said to himself as he realized what it was. “That’s probably not good.” He reasoned. Thinking was kind of hard for him at the moment.
“Blood? Kid, we’re on our way.” Clint called out over the comms.
Or Peter ends up in an accident underground, and while he waits to be rescued he has a conversation with someone important to help him through it.

Iris' look of concentration didn’t let up. “And when you were in a coma,” she filled in, seemingly completely aware of his words even in her state. “We sparked.”
The poking continued, quickening with frustration until she was jabbing at him. Finally he stopped her with his other hand, enclosing it both of his. “I’m uh, I’m not sure it works…that way.” He tried to break gently.
Her face fell. “Not anymore,” she whined, suddenly emotional. “You spark for someone else now.”
“Iris.” Barry uttered, unprepared for the apparent tidal wave that was coming at him.
Set 2x12. Barry goes to see Iris at the hospital. In a medicated condition, she reveals...a lot.
