Summary
In a region closed off from the world, a young trainer sets out. She's a wreck inside. Nerves and loneliness and sadness warring together with the love she feels for her dearest friends. They don't feel much like friends these days, but she should really talk to them about that. Not that she will.
(This is based on the fan game Pokémon Unbreakable Ties. Highly recommend downloading and playing it. It's SO good. Obviously, I've changed some details, such as character interactions, but that's mostly to make my own character feel less like the game's protagonist.)

Summary
I'm normal, aren't I? I work from seven in the morning to four in the evening, get home, and try to relax before dealing with the world again the next day. I have everything I need, even if I am a bit lonely. Not that it matters!
What am I to do when I'm far from home? I'm lucky the people here are so kind, otherwise I'd be in a lot of trouble.

"I was just having a… nice dream, and my body responded. It’s a… natural biological process.” Ryland makes the conscious decision to not tell Rocky what it’s called. “It’s related to reproduction, sort of."
“Oh,” Rocky says. “Understand. Is biological process finished now, question?”
Even through the filter of the computer voice, Ryland can pick up on Rocky's devious tone. He knows the answer to his question. Ryland had gone over basic human reproductive biology with him on like, day 25 of their relationship. Friendship? Whatever. And Rocky never forgets anything, so of course he knows he wasn’t “finished.” He can tell Ryland is embarrassed, and he’s trying to make it worse, for some reason.
Well, it’s working. Despite his best efforts to remain neutral, Ryland is pretty sure he's blushing down to his chest.
“Yes and no,” he finally answers, trying to ignore that despite everything that’s happened since he woke up, he’s still very hard in his underwear. He rubs at his face, trying to make the blush go away. “I’m… going back to sleep.”
“Okay,” Rocky says. “Sweet dreams.”
That little… fudging… freak. Darn him to heck.

Ryland Grace, biologist first and human second, is absolutely fascinated by Rocky, and how almost-human he seems. Rocky is also arguably fascinated, but he's far less blatant than Grace is about it.
