    Everyone was lying to her, even if they didn't know it. The only exception was her brother, who lied with such deadly intention that it could only be described as a well-honed weapon. He did it casually, as if it took minimal effort to maintain a persona so delicately crafted that it fooled the entire world, but not her.

    Sayu decided then and there that he was her favorite person, because they were cut from the same cloth, shaped by the same hands and were hiding the same kind of monster, split apart into two separate people so that it if one died, there was always the other, hiding beneath human flesh.

    Yagami Sayu lives an average life with above average grades, she has things everybody else does: a serious father, a hardworking mother, friends she hangs out with on weekends, a feeling of boredom bordering on insanity. Then there's her brother, and Kira.
