The words echoed around Gisele's head as she stood unmoving, staring at the door Amanda had disappeared through. The cold, detached way she had revealed herself and her refusal to meet Gisele's eyes as she said it. Maybe that's what stung most of all. The fact that Gisele was just another one of the A-troupe dancers she had been sent to mess with, like she had meant nothing to her this entire time, just another idiot she had been messing with.

It starts slowly, as most things between them do. They're curled up on the couch, inches of space between them that had steadily disappeared over the last few hours. Dara's arm is slung around Niamh's shoulders, tucking the other girl in closer to her, their legs intertwined and Niamh's head resting against her chest.
Then Niamh's hand starts wandering. It's slow and steady at first as she dragged her fingers along Dara's side seemingly oblivious to the stuttered breathing of the girl above her. Dara breathes out, low and controlled into the space above Niamh's head and she feels her grip tighten in response.
Then Niamh's hand slips under her shirt.

Alysa hates Isabeau.
Ok, that’s not entirely true. Truthfully she loves Isabeau. The younger girl was a perfect mix of little sister and best friend and Alysa felt fiercely protective over her in a way that surprised even herself. Even though Isabeau was younger and seemed to be in a constant good mood, she could be serious when needed and seemed to possess some magic superpower to always know what was going on in Alysa’s head.
However, that didn’t mean that sometimes Alysa didn’t hate it.
In fact, after today Alysa made a mental note to train her poker face. At the end of the day though, it wasn’t Alysa’s fault for being so readable. It wasn’t even Isabeau’s fault for noticing. No, when all was said and done it was all really Amber’s fault.

Lucy and Jordan had gone to get the girls another round and they seemed to be caught up in a lively debate with the bartender.
Keira finished the last drops of the drink she had raised to her mouth when Leah started talking.“Ok? And?”

Summary
Shauna Shipman has her first (and God willing, last) kid at seventeen years old. Her parents raise Callie while she goes off to Brown. "Until you can support her," they say again and again.
And then college is over, and Shauna is back in town, trying to reconnect with the four-year-old daughter she barely knows. She's not sure she can support herself, let alone Callie.
But it just so happens Shauna knows Callie's Pre-K teacher pretty well already. Or did, anyway. Back before everything blew up.
"Miss Taylor," Callie calls her.
Frankly, Jackie is a lot better with kids than Shauna is.
