Summary
Grace is unprepared for the level of love that all of Erid seemed to have for him. It was vaguely terrifying, but also.... nice? To be cared for. To be wanted.
It gets worse when they find out the circumstances of him ending up on the Hail Mary.
When his declining health necessitates a trip back to Earth, he is faced with a planet that loves him so fiercely and wonderfully that it finally starts to break through his crippling lack of self worth and bloom into something incredible.
And Earth? Earth has to deal with an Erid that is polite, protective, and most of all, pissed.

(I plan to get into everyone's feelings about their bodies, but this is going to be mostly focus on Zooble's dysphoria, abstragedy's relationship because I love them, and on transfem Jax because I'm 1000% percent on the transfem Jax train. The later chapters especially are gonna be mainly transfem Jax. This is mostly a transfem Jax fic, the other stuff is just sprinkled in for flavor and variety and because I love them.)

“Oh, we must have hit your head rather hard,” she said. “Can you write your name there?” She pointed at a blank space next to some symbols at the top of the page.
I sighed and, in English, wrote my name.
“Huh, that looks like Unown script,” she said to herself. She turned towards me. “Well, my name is Cynthia. Nice to meet you, Eileen.”

Summary
The Brigadier first met the individual known as “The Doctor” five years ago. Though he still is largely uncertain of who he is, or from where he has come, there are two things he does know.
1. That he poses a threat of incredible proportions to the people of planet Earth.
2. That he, the Brigadier, will do anything in his power to stop him.
Or in other words, UNIT thinks the Doctor is an alien who keeps abducting people, even though he's just going about his usual business, and his companions are perfectly happy to travel with him. The Brigadier keeps tracking him down, but never seems to succeed in catching him. Eventually they realize that this whole thing was just one big misunderstanding. Eventually.
