Summary

Summary
Rogers had this great idea to bring together the Avengers and some of their regular “consultants” (namely Stephen and Peter) for a weekend of team bonding. Apparently, they were supposed to spend their time out in the woods, learning more about each other and building trust. Or some bullshit like that.
Stephen was actually not completely against the idea until Rogers added the caveat that there was to be no usage of weapons, suits, or most importantly, powers.
Everyone readily agreed, leaving Stephen greatly outnumbered. But, he figured not too many people had to use their powers or tech just to function most days.
OR
Stephen struggles to keep his chronic pain a secret on a team bonding trip with no magic allowed.

Wasn’t that just his absolute favorite fucking question? After spending so much time with doctors and physical therapists, Tony had developed a violent aversion to the traditional 1-10 pain scale. It was too simple, too straightforward. It was idiotic. He could never give what his body was feeling a number. So he chose colors.

A second later, he finally blurts, “I need someone to help… Dr. Abbot is here.”
Samira checks her watch and finally looks up at how nervous Dennis is in the doorway. It’s not entirely unusual for Dr. Abbot to arrive an hour early to get a lay of the land before the night shift arrives.
“Help with what?”
“He looks really stressed. He said his calf muscle is burning, and he is feeling a sharp stabbing pain every 45 seconds.”
Samira nods in understanding and is already standing up, moving to the trash can to throw the half-sewn banana away. “ Did you look at his calf? Is the muscle injured?”
Dennis goes white and shakes his head no as he holds the break room door open for her to walk out. “He was talking about the right calf.”
Samira picks up her pace and follows Dennis to the side family room, where he stashed Jack. “You need to tell Robby.”
