Summary
Though he doesn't remember it, Zane knows that he was found on the side of the road one day and taken in by strangers. He knows other things, too, like his own name and how to get to the lake. He just struggles with some of the other stuff, mostly recalling any past events or personal relationships. At least he can obsessively try to follow the advice of his vague, memorable dreams.
Or: Zane living his life with his memory switched turned off, which means he doesn't remember anything about his past, nor does he form new memories. Story will follow him from waking up for the first time with it off to what it was like when it finally gets turned back on.

Summary
UA has a rule—no quirkless students. It was added years ago, after much hemming and hawing about safety concerns and lessening blame in the inevitable circumstance of death. There's no real reason to remove it, not as the percentage of quirkless people plummets further and further.
Of course, this rule doesn't actually matter to Izuku, because he's got an analysis quirk.
As far as anyone knows.
The Plan is simple: have a quirk, become a hero, and avoid anyone who could disprove those first two things.
In hindsight, UA isn't a great choice. And that's before the villains.

Summary
Donnie has everything perfectly under control. Sure, sometimes he hears the voices of those who aren't there, and sometimes he's not in control of his own body- but those are easy fixes. He's fine, dare he say even better than fine! He's so fine that he even constructed a portal to other dimensions in case the Krang come back! It's not like he worked endlessly, almost obsessively, over the portal for days, missing sleep and family trying to talk to him.
He's fine!
He's even fine when the portal swallows him whole and spits him out into a new universe with nothing but his battle shell and clocking broach.
One with alternate versions of him and his brothers, just starting out and fighting their own version of Kraang and bad guys. He's even fine when he gets dragged into their upcoming battles and fights. He's going to get home anyway; what's the harm in helping out his alternate family fight against Kraang?

The ringing is subsiding in time for Donnie to hear the taunt- "Ha! Your little trick doesn't work on me anymore!"
"I am attuned to your frequency," The Krang's fingers dig deeper into the wall. "But not his."
Donnie points questionably to himself when both gazes flick from each other to him. He's not entirely certain what's going on, but he knows enough to guess that the shriek was supposed to do more than shake them up. He definitely doesn't like that this somehow makes him the center of attention.
Leon looks so arrogantly confident that it irks him even more that he doesn't know why.
"Do not play dumb," Krang fires back, egregiously, and to Donnie's immediate offense. "This is all your doing."
