    Izuku is a young omega who has tried to lead a quiet life, trying to love his "mother" Inko despite constantly not feeling that he belongs with her, but at least he is lucky enough to have a couple of friends (and his friends' parents) to feel a little secure in the unstable that is his life.

    Said life changes when Izuku one day discovers secrets that make him realize that his mother is not his mother, that he has a twin and both are the children of three heroes.

    Rael leveled a finger between Feemor’s stunned eyes. “It wasn’t Qui-Gon alone who trained you, Dooku was proud to call you lineage. You’re good and damn well stuck with us, tough shit to Qui-Gon’s wounded ego.”

    Obi-Wan gathered his courage from his talk with Cin the night before and tapped his boot against Feemor’s again. “Guess it’s brothers after all.” He felt his heart throb in his throat, but the warm expression melting over Feemor’s face had the fear sliding off of Obi-Wan’s shoulders.

    “I guess so.” They made twin noises of distress when Rael draped his arms over each of their necks and yanked them into an uncomfortable three way hug with the table in the way.

    “This is a bad idea.”

    Feemor let his grin grow, his turn to tap Obi-Wan’s foot. “A very bad idea.”

    “The best idea!” crowed Rael, and the Force didn’t disagree.

    Qui-Gon Jinn survives the confrontation with Maul, and Obi-Wan discovers a strange alien child on Ilum. Change begins to cascade for the Jedi, and the Disaster Lineage confronts what it means to try and fix a family broken through neglect.

    Eighteen-year-old Obi-Wan struggles to support Qui-Gon, who never recovered from the losses of Xanatos and Tahl. He's in pain from a blocked lifebond. All he wants is knighthood and a future with his bondmate. As Qui-Gon's mental health deteriorates, that dream seems to be slipping through his fingers.

    -How could Obi-Wan's childhood trauma from his Legends backstory have happened in a Jedi Order run by responsible, caring adults, and what would his recovery from it realistically look like?

    -Good people make harmful choices for understandable reasons (unprocessed trauma, unhealthy attachment, insufficient institutional safeguards...)

A few merely looked blearily concerned, and Aayla heard snatches of questions as she darted past, queries as to whether everyone experienced the same distressing vision.
