For Adrien, falling in love with Ladybug was like freefalling. It was fast, instantaneous, and left him in a pool of desire and dedication. He seemed to believe that he could never love anyone else.
Yet, after a few fateful events, he found himself visiting his bluenette classmate almost nightly and discovered that with Marinette, falling in love was less like freefalling and more like hiking up a cool, grassy, mountain. The journey uphill slowly revealed the beauty of nature: a pretty flower (her cute laugh), a glowing water stream (her sassy humor), and the beautiful sunset at the tippity top of the terrain (her precious friendship). By the time he reached the top of the mountain, he just wanted to go back down and restart to experience it all over again.
