Summary
The Parkers are a powerful family led by the notorious crime lord Benjamin Parker. Tony Stark, the ruthless and cold-blooded Merchant of Death, is his loyal enforcer. Peter Parker, the boss’s nephew, has just graduated from boarding school in Switzerland and is spending the summer in New York before he goes off to college. Benjamin orders Tony to be his nephew’s bodyguard during his stay. Peter takes a deep interest in Tony, and being the rich, pampered princess that he is, he always gets what he wants. Tony knows that touching the boss’s beloved nephew will get his head blown off, but he’s not sure if he can resist Peter’s wiles.

Maybe it’s the culmination of everyone pinching his cheeks and talking down to him all night, or maybe it’s the way Tony keeps smirking at him, but Peter is seized by a sudden desire to punch Tony Stark in his stupid smug face.
“I’m not just a kid,” Peter snaps, and when his mother cries ‘Peter!’ in a scandalized voice, he juts his chin out at Tony. “I’m an adult and I’m perfectly capable of making an apology, sir. Now if you wanted a kissass to give you some fake soliloquy about how you’re so great, I’m sure you can find someone here who’d be happy to.”
Tony finally drops his condescending smirk and for the first time, he’s looking at Peter with something like understanding. His eyes bore into Peter’s and he feels a cold thrill go down his spine as the stupidity of what he’s done sinks in.
