Summary
Captain Louvois doesn't make Riker advocate against Data, and the trial subsequently goes Maddox's way. Rather than accept this barbarity, Data and many of his fellow officers take matters into their own hands. (Many of the moral stakes here are the same as in the original episode — dehumanization, slavery, unethical medical experimentation on sentient beings under color of law — but the fic treats them mostly with an almost satirical lightness of distance.)

Summary
Stiles’ pupils are blown when Peter grabs him by the ring of the gag and tugs his head down. While he’s sitting on the couch and Stiles is kneeling, in their usual positions, Peter snaps the ring gag onto the attachment around the base of his cock.
The lock clicks into place and suddenly Stiles’ lips are sealed around the base and kept there by the harness around Peter’s waist and legs.

The Halo Effect is the tendency for a positive impression in one area to produce a more generous or optimistic interpretation of ambiguous information in other areas.
When Thomas rescues Lady Mary from the nefarious attentions of Turkish houseguest Kemal Pamuk, his employers and coworkers begin to see him differently...and Things Get Better.
A Season One AU diverging from canon in Episode 3, The One Where The Turkish Gentleman Dies in Mary's Bed.
