She does not need his unsigned notes, his unsettling attention, or the way he seems to know what she requires before she has decided to ask.
She especially does not need the Prophet calling them her “Slytherin Shadows.”
But in a Ministry built on optics, old blood, and carefully buried secrets, usefulness is dangerous.
