Summary
Ilia Malinin doesn’t do “Pink Lemonade” for Art on Ice. Ilia chooses to make a Statement. He uses his precious solo time to show off for one Mikhail “Misha” Shaidorov, who had absolutely no idea his best friend was pining so hard. Which is kind of awkward, because Ilia isn't the only one capable of grand romantic gestures, and it would maybe have been a better idea to talk to each other first instead of doing things the hard way. But communicating is just so hard, isn't it?
(or, that one where Ilia and Misha are physically incapable of being normal about each other, feat. neurodivergent!Ilia, protective!Misha, big brother!Max, and wtf-are-you-people-doing!Amber and Gabriella, who have no idea why the hell their boys have to be so ~dramatic.)

Summary
Some days feel like the end of the world.
Ilia's been handling it better lately, this change in his life, but that doesn't make it easy. He's had to reshape the way he sees himself and the people around him, and sometimes it all feels too suffocating.
After a day marked by explosive outbursts at all his friends, panic and emotional spirals, Ilia is left doing what he seems to spend more and more time doing these days: wondering if he's becoming someone he can no longer recognise. Wondering whether people will stay once they know the truth. Once he fights with them. Once he inevitably hurts them. Once months of hard-earned progress seem to disappear in hours.
Mikhail has never been one to make him go through those fears alone, never one to leave him to retreat into himself without help, no matter how convinced Ilia is that he deserves to be.

Summary
Misha’s the Olympic Champion. He can’t even begin to process it. He’s on his feet and Ilia’s walking towards him and as Misha hugs him he can feel Ilia’s spine jut out an unnatural amount. They hug for what feels like an eternity and a split second all at once. Ilia’s gone before he can even say anything coherent, and Misha’s gaze still lingers as Ilia walks away from the arena. Alexei’s at his side as soon as Ilia’s gone, and the rest of the medal ceremony blurs together as his mind tries to realize the fact that he’s just been crowned a gold medalist at the Olympic Games.
Misha spews out some bullshit excuse about having to process everything to the other skaters going out celebrating. They nod like they understand, but they don’t. Misha’s at Ilia’s door as quickly as he can, almost banging on the door to let him in.
