Summary
Patrick Jane does not realise he is in love with Teresa Lisbon all at once.
He realises it in pieces: in tea made without asking, in a crooked tie fixed before an interview, in her voice cutting through the dark before he can drown in it. Lisbon realises it harder, after the apartment feels wrong without him in it and the silence starts to feel less like peace and more like absence.
The team notices after that.
Cho notices first, because of course he does. Van Pelt notices because Lisbon smiles differently. Rigsby notices last, dramatically and far too late for his dignity to survive intact.
But when an old enemy of Jane’s comes back with bodies, messages, and a plan designed to tear him apart, the team finally sees the truth beneath all the teasing, domesticity, and quiet office touches.
This was never casual.
Patrick Jane survived losing his wife once.
He would not survive losing Teresa Lisbon.

Summary
PHILOMENA CUNK: The Petrova Taskforce is a group of people that are forced to do tasks related to preventing the sun from getting eaten by space aliens.
PHILOMENA CUNK: The taskforce was named after an astronomer from Russia named Dr. Irina Petrova who first spotted the Petrova Line using a special telescope that sees infrared radiation. Interestingly, what she saw using her special telescope is the same as what mosquitoes would see if they had access to a normal telescope, because mosquitoes can already see infrared light.
OR
To improve public relations with non-government personnel who have largely been left in the dark with respect to the activities of the Petrova Taskforce, Eva Stratt contracts an unconventional documentarian that she may or may not have a History with to create a docuseries based on the project.
OR
Philomena Cunk is given free reign to make a TV show based on the true events of the ongoing Petrova Taskforce. She will be using artistic licensing rather indiscriminately I'm afraid.

An empty pinboard, a motel room, and one increasingly questionable decision later, she finds him.

“Oh, come on, Lisbon, you’re perfect,” Jane says, cutting off whatever ignoble protest had been blooming on her tongue. “A pair of strappy heels, a little lipstick —”
“I’m gonna kill you, Jane,” Lisbon says sharply, and he laughs in that unserious, unbothered way that is almost always in response to Lisbon being very serious and very bothered.
The others are already talking surveillance, transport, operational budget; as if she hasn't just been handed the most asinine, unprofessional, degrading assignment she can possibly imagine.
“But it’s…” Lisbon says, to nobody in particular. “It’s a Tuesday.”
“Yes, Agent. And the pageant begins on Friday. Your undercover training starts as soon as you sign these, please. Congratulations, Miss CBI."
