    Summary

That part of Hoseok that shut down when Yoongi left, that huge gaping space left in his brain and in his chest - it shut down to protect him

It was the part of Hoseok that knew, deep down, all along, that he was in love with Yoongi. And it knew that if Hoseok realized it back then, the heartbreak would devastate him beyond repair.

And now, that part of Hoseok is awake again.

or, Hoseok's best friend disappeared two years ago without a trace. They run into each other again in a seedy hotel in the middle of nowhere, and somehow Hoseok convinces him to join him and his friends on a road trip.

    Bookmarker's Notes

this was a sad kinda pretty; the type of read when you just want to understand pure love; the kind of love that gives you a safe space and more importantly a home; i have never had something like what Yoongi experiences in this story but i relate to the self-destruction and thinking that im a dirty, unfixable human being; this is a gentle reminder that things can and will get better; you'll find love in the old and new friendships and if you're lucky enough even in a committed romantic partnership; this story made me ache in all the right ways; a beautiful read.

adding more notes on my second re-read & it's just such a beautiful story; i feel light from the love they all have (platonic & romantic) and truly sympathize with the pain that they went through; it's a story full of yearning for greener pastures and safety; i love stories with a found family & home

    Re-read on June 2nd, 2026: older & more jaded.
Still a lovely story about hope and second chances. But I'm definitely not in a good spot to see this as anything more than a fantasy. Still meaningful. I cried. To be enough, that's all I ask for.

    Summary

While enlisting, Seokjin falls in love with a fellow recruit but never confesses his feelings. Post-enlistment he tries to move on, and as he sets out to build confidence in romance, it only makes sense to sleep with Namjoon. Wait, what?

“Should we pretend to be other people?”

Namjoon turned his head to him, his voice a low, quiet rumble. “Who would you want us to be?”

Bookmarking cuz Anna (pineconepickers) has done it again. Another incredible story. This is truly a narrative about falling in love. Slow & comfortable & genuine. All of the symbolism is beautiful. Moon jars, a seamless construction of two pieces molded into one beautiful sturdy artwork. Truly a character study of Jin & Namjoon. Why they do the things they do. And how they balance idol life with everything else. Chapter 1 is full of longing for fulfillment & satisfaction, Chapter 2 is sexy & romantic, Chapter 3 is realization & yearning & acceptance. Like this is truly a wonderfully written fic.

    Summary

    A perfect life.
    A laugh track.
A world built from everything they’ve ever wanted.

    Keith knows it isn’t real.

    The problem is...
Not everyone wants to wake up.

    ~or~

Lance finally hops toward the window, pushing it open with practiced ease. The hinges don’t creak. The screen doesn’t catch. It all moves smoothly without error.
He swings one leg over the sill, then pauses, glancing back.
    For a second, something flickers.
    Not in Lance.
    Around him.
The light stutters. The shadows lag half a beat behind his movement.
    Keith blinks.
    It’s gone.
Lance grins. “Try not to miss me too much, mullet.”
    “Don’t call me that.”
“Oh, please. I always have, and I always will call you that.”
    Another laugh track.
Lance leans in just slightly, like he’s about to say something else, but instead, he just winks.
    “See you at school.”

    Bookmarker's Notes

This is one of those fics that I can tell is going to get a lot of kudos / bookmarks in the future. Or is just going to be a hidden gem / underrated read. So I know I gotta bookmark.

The iconic part of this fic is the worldbuilding. How the author seamlessly wrote in everyone's deepest desires, but in a way that feels foggy and dream-like. The slient NPCs too!! God, just an incredible read tbh.

    ---

    My comment:
Holy shit this was so so good. Literally tearing up. I was on the edge of my seat, just so immersed in the worldbuilding. And how my heart shattered throughout Lance's realization. Also, thank you for giving klance that hopeful ending. I'm sure they'll figure things out. Truly what a wonderful read, thank you again for sharing!! <3

    Summary

Keith had never really believed in love, not really, but thinking back to the day he met Adam, to Shiro’s tone as he introduced them, back to all the times they’d gone grocery shopping together and watched movies in the dark, Shiro and Adam on the couch and Keith on the floor with a bowl of popcorn in his lap, he thought maybe he could believe in it. Or at least that he wanted to.

    --

“So is that something we do now?” Lance asks, looking up from where Keith’s hand rests on the bench. Where they were just touching. “Compliment each other?”

“I don’t know,” Keith says, honestly. “Maybe.”

    Bookmarker's Notes

This is a classic klance fic that I only just got to reading. It's so underrated. It makes me feel so fluttery inside. Keith truly deserves love. Oh the longing, what a lovely read.

    Summary

“This isn’t some kind of joke to me,” Keith says quietly, eyes fluttering all over Lance’s face. It’s the bare minimum really—to have a man clarify that the situation he’s treated as some kind of burden isn’t truly a burden to him after all.

So: Caught between fear and something that feels dangerously like hope, Lance promptly loses his entire mind about it.

    Bookmarker's Notes

Notes to myself if I were to re-read:
    - Some explicit content to drive the plot
    - Perfect amount of angst, specifically Langst
    - Didn't affect me the first read but definitely heed the internal homophobia / homophobia warnings. It is a central theme around the fic
    - Ambigious / open ending is an accurate tag but you'll get the semi-closure of Keith knowing it's love and waiting patiently for Lance on his own terms, as he works through everything. So it won't feel unfinished. It's good.

    My comment:
This was incredible. The pain, the yearning, the path towards acceptance. I loved every line. Emotionally mature Keith is peak! Genuinely burst into tears at this part:

“She told me that loving someone doesn’t make you weaker. It just makes the fear louder. Because now there’s something to lose. Which is probably why she had to leave.” He huffs out a breath.

    “Loving?” Lance asks quietly.

    “Yeah,” Keith looks away, “Loving.”

^This is stunning dialogue, I absolutely adore this little, quiet scene between the two of them.

I sincerely believe they'll get their happy ending, Lance has work to do but he'll get there. They both deserve it.

Thank you so so much for sharing this!! <3

    ---

Edit: Work #2 in this series is an extension of this fic, incredibly written with lots of religious imagery and symbolism. I'm not bookmarking cuz it's less klance fanfic and more just a beautiful piece of literature. But don't worry, Lance and Keith get their happy ending.
