Summary
Nick Burkhardt knows all about the supernatural world and the colourful (murderous) history of his bloodline. He’s more than happy to stay on the sidelines, leaving that sort of hunting in the capable hands of his aunt.
He’s a detective, rather a good one too. It's a job that fits in with his simple worldview of clearly defined rights and wrongs, and he loves it.
The illusions of his relatively normal life shatter when Marie dies. The family curse settles in him as if he's its new home, widening his perception into things he had wished with all his heart to avoid.
Thrown into a life he's never wanted, Nick is determined to navigate the new world in his own way.

Summary
Evan Buckley knew he'd been shot, and that was a problem. Unfortunately, that wasn't his biggest problem currently. It turned out his biggest problem was that the last he remembered he'd been shot in Kandahar Province, and it was 2015. However, he was currently still freaking shot but was in a hospital room in Los Angeles where a room full of strangers were telling him it was 2021.
Well...a room of strangers, plus his sister whom he hadn't seen in years and who was visibly pregnant, and a man he'd seen not that long ago actually who shocking seemed to have no idea why Evan would recognize him out of all the rest of the firefighters around his hospital bed. Damn, but Medic McSteamy aged well over the past six years. Also, who the hell was 'Buck,' and why did people keep insisting on calling him that?!

Summary
What if during the events around Rosalee's wedding this happened instead?
Instead of Adalind sleeping with Nick she convinced Juliette to take the modified anti-Grimm potion. she agrees thinking it would be better for them if Nick wasn't a Grimm. The events lead to them breaking up.
What if the cure for Nick losing his Grimm side was Renard, unfortunately it has some unforeseen consequence. Mpreg shenanigans and more ensue. What do you think happens when someone has repeated exposure to thing that change him on a biological level, mixed with magic rituals and the safe guard behind that being removed, then returned?
Or
Juliette wanted a normal life, Adalind gave her the means to take it. Stripping Nick of his Grimm status doesn't stop the Wesen world from knocking on his door. It certainly doesn't stop the Royal families from sending assassins to Portland or stop the unrelated line of duty drama from hunting him down. Nick really wishes his cop life and his Grimm life would stop intercepting
Renard's political arc makes sense, Nick is a trouble magnet as usual but it really isn't his fault and police procedure gets improved some along side the hidden Wesen world and extralegal activities
