Summary
“You’ll take the vow tonight,” he said. “After that, no lordship, you, no wife, no land, no babes. This–” And he stamped his foot so that the horses tossed their heads. “The gate ‘tween all that was and the night ahead.”
“It’s just a fucking wall, man,” Lyonel said, but felt a shiver run through him all the same.

Summary
Lyonel had been good to him, Dunk knew. There were men who said one thing in their cups and another in the sober light of day, but Lyonel was always friendly. He welcomed Dunk (and Egg) in his pavilion by day and night. After knowing him for barely an hour, he insisted Dunk call him by his name, because there was no need for sers and my lords among friends.
Were they still friends? Dunk hoped so. Such hopes did not stop his thoughts from turning crude. When he wasn't worrying about whether he would be welcome, he was imagining Lyonel seducing sellswords and sailors. There's always been talk about him. Had Lyonel danced with those men, too? Or was that only a game he played? Teasing and hinting but never trespassing. Perhaps he never intended anything with Dunk, or only hoped and offered by implication. Dunk didn't know what he preferred.
He worried and dreamed, until he caught his first glimpse of Storm's End.
Dunk and Egg talk about marriage, visit old friends, and consider sending a letter to Summerhall.

“So you a beta or?”
“Why does that matter?” This line of questioning always made Duncan nervous, it was written on his papers, but no one could tell from just looking, and he barely had any scent or omegan appeal anyway.
“No reason, just want to make sure you ain’t an alpha. Lyonel sometimes ends up territorial around them.”
“Should I be worried?”
“I mean you’re tall, and you look sturdy, but if you don’t anger the beast it won’t attack.”Kind of Modern AU where Arlan lives and Duncan goes to live on a farm with him

Summary
Dunk rode away.
Whatever the past week had been, a week of luxuriating in bed, a week of sweet kisses and whispered promises, a week of the kind of love Lyonel had never imagined would ever come for him— whatever that had been, Dunk was still leaving. Yes, he’d said he was sorry to go but he’d still gotten on that damned horse and taken his boy and was riding away.
But Dunk comes back, and comes back and comes back.
