Summary
Merlin is an idiot. Anyone can see that.
Always stumbling, like he never really learned to use his body. Sometimes trailing off in the middle of a sentence, like he can't bring himself to finish it. Recuring lack of special awareness and lost of focus.
King Uther was probably right in his assessment that the boy needed help in the head.
But Merlin knows better. Coming to Camelot had one initial purpose: learn to control his powers. Before the Dragon and the Witch and the Prince and all the others, people forget he had an objective. But he always needed to be flexible.
What's one more secret?
What if his Father's death brings out something he was desperate to conceal?
What if there was a witness he coudn't afford silencing?
