On one side, he and Elle go their separate ways. Spencer would go on to pretend he’d never felt these things, fight to get over his addiction, and grow into a better man. Maybe he’d meet another woman who made his heart race, his mind hone in on the smallest details, only to forget them in his old age. Happy, rotting, and forever in turmoil with his true nature.
Or, on the other hand, they didn’t. On the other side of the fence, there was a pact to be made in the blood of those that brought them here in the first place. A struggle to do what was right, what they’d joined the BAU to do in the first place- make the world a safer place.

A string of mysterious murders, an Officer in over his head, an agency set out with intentions that may be more malicious than its agents first assumed...

Summary
Being born a feline and a fairly significant amount smaller than some of his colleagues in court, he has learned to try not to step on the wrong paws, so to speak. Well, he supposes in his early days he certainly didn’t follow that line of thinking—being deemed the Demon Prosecutor and all. But Miles has certainly changed, trading in his old, wicked ways to seeking out the truth in court, even if that meant teaming up with the defense.
His point (if he even started with one) is that now as Chief Prosecutor, Miles tries to avoid taking any unnecessary risks. He tries to play it safe, to avoid giving up parts of his life if he were to somehow lose it all just by putting them at risk.
…Most of the time.

When Phoenix and Miles share a hotel room together and Phoenix leaves for a bit, Miles decides to take a risk and enjoy himself.
