    Summary

    Shadow of the Bat is my version of Bruce Wayne’s life and the people who helped shape him into Batman.

    The story begins before Bruce is born, following Alfred Pennyworth, Thomas and Martha Wayne, Gotham’s criminal families, and the Justice Society. It then follows Bruce from childhood through his parents’ murder, his education and training around the world, and his return to Gotham. Year Zero covers his final preparation to become Batman, followed by my version of Year Two.

    In Year Three, the focus shifts to Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon.

    The series takes place on Earth 1986 and combines Batman and DC history with a fixed historical timeline.
