    After a thousand years of deception and secrecy, the Republic and the Jedi Order are supposed to fall apart, the latter being branded as traitors to a new Galactic Empire that would plunge the galaxy into two decades of darkness unrivaled by history.

    But what if the Force decided to answer back to this challenge by sending a warrior and a thief from a bygone era to the midst of a war the scale of which the galaxy had not seen in a thousand years? Would their presence change the past, present and future? Or would they only speed up the arrival of destruction to the Republic?

    Or; the Sith Warrior and the best Twi'lek girl in the galaxy enter the Clone Wars and make things a whole lot more complicated.

    Xanatos isn’t quite sure how he ended up becoming The Designated Babysitter of Feral Younglings but he resents Mace for telling him he deserves it.

    Xanatos does not Fall. Instead, he realizes that family is more than blood and that home is more than an empty house waiting for you to return. Home, he learns, is built from love. It is a pair of open arms, ready to catch you when you fall. It is teasing smiles and kisses pressed upon your brow. It is reassurances and promises fulfilled. It is someone willing to tell you the truth even when it hurts, and it is someone who will be kind to you when the whole galaxy is not.

    Home is someone who loves you. So much so, that they’ll let you go.

    So no, Xanatos does not Fall, and he thinks it’s all going rather well up until time-traveling younglings start falling into his lap.

    As if the current state of Mandalorian politics wasn't bad enough, Boba and Din somehow find themselves caught up in a power struggle from sixty years ago.

    They have to create a better future for Mandalorians everywhere. It's a job that Din doesn't want, a culture that Boba doesn't claim, and a future that Jaster Mereel never lived to see.

    Any changes they make could jeopardize the reality that Din and Boba want to return to– but is that worth letting Mandalore fall all over again?

    Mand'alor the Reluctant, a moniker given to him by those who have the birthright for the title of Mand'alor. Bo-Katan of House Kryze has given it to Din to spite him for his inaction towards retaking their homeland. Boba Fett of Clan Vhett, given to him in jest during a celebration between Din, Boba, and Fennec. But to Din, it was a reminder of doing better for his weird green child.

    The Reformer, a title once held by Jaster Mereel whose rule was cut too short by an extremist. In his short reign, he was close to uniting Madalore under one leadership.

    Through the machinations of the force, both leaders of different times meet. Some say the force wanted to give their people the chance to make some changes. Din thinks the force was bored.

    “Where did your rescuer go?”

    “Me'ven? He was just here… I owe him a life debt.”

    “Goodluck trying to tell him that.” A nearby foodtender muttered, “He’s of the Old Way. They don’t accept life debts.”

    “A Traditionalist?”

    “Nyac. The Olden Way.” The Mando shrugged.

    The Olden Way held different values from most Resol’nare. Their Creed kept their Ways close, they kept their secrets with their lives. It was difficult to find information on them because they themselves were hard to find. They were ghosts.

    The only reason Jaster knew that much was because one of his closer Verde was once of a Covert. His Creed was broken and while he sought Redemption to return in the beginning, he found his soulmate who was not of his Creed.

    “Olden Way or not, our tendons have granted him the life debt of my ad and me. One for saving his life, and one because I failed to be there to protect it.” Jaster muttered. “We’ll find him.”

    In which Jaster is a simp for his very pretty, very confused Mandalorian soulmate. Din is just confused why his ship is suddenly considered modern and why fuel is suddenly cheap.
