   Summary

   For a selkie, to be separated from their coat can be one of the hardest challenges they may face, maybe apart from being away from the ocean. Being lightyears away from the nearest ocean with no hope of return is a fate worse than death, but at least Grace has his coat.

   Or: Grace is a selkie, and even though Stratt had the foresight to put his coat on the Hail Mary before it launched, there's no oceans on the spaceship.
