Summary
Pulling the first box out of the closet, Eddie wipes off the dust of the shoebox to reveal the name Percy. The scrawl was clearly written by a child, and Eddie’s curiosity piqued in a rather mundane task. Opening the box he revealed rather confusing items: A plastic dinosaur toy, two ticket stubs from a cartoon, various childish drawings, and a large pile of polaroid pictures.
He pulls the pictures out slowly to see

Help will come much later, and shortly after that his parents and tio and tias. Eddie, along with the rest of the children, is sobbing and looking devastated at his four-year-old cousin’s body.
“Edmundo Diaz you get over here right now!” Eddie’s dad, Ramon, who was a stiff soul to carry, yelled. Eddie’s sobs continued tenfold as he walked over to the side yard where his father stood. Distantly I could hear screaming as Gael’s parents saw their son for the last time.
Ramon grabs Eddie by the shoulders tightly and shakes him. “You stop crying now boy! You shut up right now or I damn swear Eddie…”
Eddie hiccuped harshly but allowed his stifled breath to muster, “Yes sir.”

Summary
The first time I encountered Evan was not his older brother, despite popular belief. When Evan first put it in the world, the doctors wooshed him away to be poked and prodded.

A hand wrapped around Charlie’s wrist, pulling him away from the table. “No, we need to talk. Now.”
Charlie struggled against him, his drinks dropping to the floor as he desperately looked around for someone that could help him. “Don’t touch me!” He tried turning away, but the other boy was stronger, his grip and his pull becoming harsher and harsher. “I told you to fucking leave me alone!”
Remaining silent, Ben simply pulled a door open and pushed Charlie inside, leaving him stumbling slightly as his body tried to stop him from falling completely forward. As soon as the door was closed, Charlie heard the soft click of the lock, and he realized that he was locked in a bathroom with the worst person he had ever known.
