In this dark AU of Goddess of Victory: Nikke,
After the discovery of Vapaus, the Commander is disappeared and put into seclusion by the Central Government. The CG along with Mustang (Evil Original Mustang, not H*****) come up with a Nikke death race, a multi stage event called the Derby. Nikke battle for their chance at obtaining Vapaus and liberating their minds from the shackles of their NIMPH. Those Nikke which loose the Derby have their minds wiped, effectively killing them. This spectacle quickly grows from a ghoulish back step in the Nikke Liberation movement, to become the number one entertainment in the Ark as it enters its most decadent and degraded age.
The Commander is trotted out, drugged, and made to look like he supports the Derby, when nothing could be further from the truth.
The story begins at the beginning of the fourth year of the Derby. Increasing tensions in the Ark lead to an explosive opening, and when the Commander is able to make contact with one of the contest squads, Real Kindness's Sin, the possibility of stopping the Derby just may present itself.
But Sin and her squamates have plans of their own, and can they really trust the traitor commander?

They're not human anymore, at least to me.
I see them as tools humanity has used to win a desperate war we are on the verge of losing. Whether you call them cyborgs or Nikkes is beyond me. I don't care.
I will continue to see them this way. No one can change my mind about that.
...Plus its better on my mind if I don't change.
