Summary
Jim Reed, the 1960s cop from a completely non-magical universe, slips through a crack in the world chasing a suspect. Only to end up decades into the future in a strange body that does things no human should.
Even stranger, it's heavily reminiscent of those dime comics he used to read as a kid?
Hell is here in a world Jim is half convinced he dreamt up. Malloy is gone, Jean is similarly absent, and Los Angeles is a far cry from this grungy place.- Language:

Summary
On a routine traffic stop, Malloy and Reed pull over a beautiful woman who takes an instant liking to Officer Malloy. In today's terms, we'd probably call her a stalker. Malloy isn't interested, but she refuses to take no for an answer until Malloy steps up to satisfy her 'needs.'
Then Officer Wells says some ugly things in the locker room, and Reed steps in to shut him up. Will there be consequences?

Summary
Shout out to "strawberryshaped" for motivation and inspiration.
A murder suspect hiding from the police watches Malloy, but instead of helping, steals the shotgun, his pistol, and rips the microphone off the cord, leaving the wires exposed. Malloy then uses the exposed wires to signal for help, which Reed picks up as he is still in the park.
Our story resumes in the final scene of "The Search," Season 4, Episode 5, which aired on October 20, 1977. While in pursuit of an armed robbery suspect at night, Malloy goes off the road and down a wooded hillside, totaling the police cruiser, damaging the radio, which can no longer transmit, and seriously injuring himself in Griffith Park. The police are unable to locate him due to his malfunctioning radio.

Summary
More than the cruiser had been destroyed in that wreck. Pete and Reed had been broken down, stripped bare with nothing but ugly wounds and mind numbing nightmares of crunching metal, of screaming, of pain and fear. They had nothing but the sharp taste of copper blood and nausea to look forward to when they would jerk awake, alone in dark rooms with nothing...absolutely nothing there for them. They seemed hell bent on destroying themselves and Mac felt helpless as he watched.
-----
After Pete and Jim are involved in a wreck while on duty, they find it difficult to heal in the aftermath. As Pete pulls away from those closest to him, Reed is left wondering where it all went wrong....and poor Mac is just hanging on by a thread watching the whole thing.
